I saw Cloverfield yesterday, great film. I loved the perspective of everything and how it didn't pull you away and try and explain the situation and just went ahead and just showed some people trying to survive. It was annoying as during the previews and the beginning of the film me and my buddy were seated in front of some loudmouth girls who kept on going on about how scary a certain film looked and their excessive use of the phrase "Oh My God" and the word "like" made them seem like some kind of cheap backdrop charecters. Anyway I actually had to turn around and tell them to be quiet as they were not the only ones in the theatre. I know some people hate shaky camera angles, but what do you expect? It's from a hand held camera! do they realize how hard it would be to set up a dolly and how fake it would look in this movie?. Many people also complain about how the '' Plot didn't explain anything" and how"They're taking advantage of 9-11 as a cheap bandwagon" Well, do you realize how ridiculous it would be if the monster attacked Denver?! Sometimes there isn't symbolism in a movie, it's just supposed to be fun. And how would you expect normal people to come about the monster's true origin? sure they theorize and stuff but Why is not really that important in a disaster. This movie wasn't made to be a Groundbreaking, make you think movie. it's just supposed to be fun.
